No voucher in DTW
I'm GM flying from EWR to MEM via DTW. Flight last night 6/5, was an hour late arriving and I missed my connection to MEM. Delta Sky Club agent told me that I would not get a hotel voucher as it was "not Delta's fault". Every time this has happened to me before, they have always provided a voucher. When I asked why it was not their fault and what happened, they said it was "air traffic control".
Is this normal? Do I have any recourse? Does anyone know what was going on in DTW yesterday? The delay in EWR was cause by a late flight in from DTW. Pilot said some of the incomming passengers had been waiting six hours.
