Good luck for your future travel. But it's almost certainly much too late to accumulate miles and book award travel to Europe in July/August 2014. Many award seats for summer travel to Europe are booked 10-11 months ahead of time, though it's always possible for seats to become available at the last minute.
+1 - OP, I was in a similar situation last year and it was disheartening to see how far in advance you need to have racked up enough miles/points for your trip. I cut it close in March for a trip in September!
If you want to plan a big trip like that with points/miles for
next summer, this might be a good time to start checking your credit and planning to accumulate miles.
