Here's the modified plan, I like the idea (and did not know it was possible until now) of leaving my luggage at Kyoto station and using that as a starting point for the first day.

Day 1 am
Arrive at Kyoto station at 9:30
Fushimi Inari Shrine at 10:00
Nishiki/snacks at 11:00
Lunch nearby at 12:00

Day 1 pm
Pick up luggage at Kyoto station
Subway/train to Arashiyama then cab to Hoshinoya (travel time ~35m)
Cab to Arashiyama at 14:00
Bamboo road/temples in Arashiyama
Cab back to Hoshinoya at 17:50
Dinner and evening at Hoshinoya

Day 2 am
Kinkakuji 9:00
Bus to Ryoanji 10:30 (travel time ~5m)
Ninnaji 11:30 (time-permitting, travel time ~5m)
Lunch near by at 12:30

Day 2 pm
Nijo-jo 14:00
Manga Museum (16:00, time-permitting)
Dinner at Pontocho
Evening at Pontocho

Thoughts? I took out a bunch of things too so that I won't be rushing through everything.

Also, when I said street food, I really meant like mom-and-pop ramen shops and stuff. Cheap and hearty food. I will save the expensive stuff for Hoshinoya and Pontocho.
