For around 17,500 + $15 each, two people could fly economy return from ATL-CLT and then CLT-BOS. This seems to be your best option. And there seems to be plenty of availability over the next few months if you're even just a little flexible.

Do you have a household account? If not, then there is no problem with booking rewards for other people from your account. The OP though has a household account which restricts redemptions to those persons who are members of the household account or are listed as friends and family.
