The annoying thing is that being on one ticket should allow you to drop your baggage at connections and remain airside (getting the Plane Train and avoiding the magical mystery tour that is the international-domestic minibus).

But if the minimum connection is 3 hours 30, there's no real time advantage.

A bit bizarre really.
