FWIW, this one is an AeroInfinite. Plus, I never got a PIN in the mail for this card, though I did get one for the Aerogold which will be coming in as a new TD Aero Platinum card.

It says that I should "Start using your TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card on Monday, June 16, 2014, not before. Your current CIBC Aerogold credit card will be deactivated on that date. If you will be travelling that day, be sure to take your new replacement card along with you...."
Thanks, JJohanJ - We just received our TD Aeroplan Infinite cards - but have not received the PINs. We will be travelling on June 15 and I know we will have to use the CIBC Visa that evening (the place I will need to use it does not take Amex - or they didn't in March). So I called CIBC to tell them that we would be using the card on June 15 - but not after midnight.

I did call TD to see if they would make a note that we will be in the U.S. on June 16 and using the card. As I expected, they can't. I know that store clerks are not about to start calling Visa. I will carry the Amex and use it where possible. Thankfully, in the U.S. PINs are not used in case they do not arrive. We seem to get a lot of junk mail on a daily basis - and our regular mail ends up somewhere else.

If you have been on the TD Community Forum it is kind of wild - answers to questions posed are anything but answers to pretty specific questions. I have been answering some people.

I do not like the fact that we will not be activating the new cards. As expected I knew this would happen because if 550,000 people tried to activate their cards on June 16 the system would crash. And we can't do it before, unfortunately, as many people had hoped.

I am just grateful that we have absolutely no deposits on goods, direct deposits or pre-authorized debits to the sold account. Now if only we hadn't paid those fees to CIBC on Dec. 9th!
