The lovely check in person in IAH just smiled at my 25kg bag and told me not to worry about it and no more was said on the matter. I had another bag at 18kg so I would have been willing to move things around but it wasn't requested.

Also, earlier this year (looking for a 'fragile' sticker) I mentioned that I had some cheap Spanish Cava in my case at AGP and again the agent just smiled, said that BA don't allow that in suitcases in case it breaks and soaks everyone's luggage...so she'll pretend she didn't hear me say it.

I've always found the bag drop and check in staff at BA to be the best in their field but then I always approach with a smile and a 'good morning'.
