When I moved TATL I tried to pack a bag to 32kg -- this was in the days when the baggage allowance was 2x32kg. I was all happy that I had maximized my allowance and closed it up to prepare it by the door when....

I discovered I couldn't really lift it. I mean I could lift a few inches standing in place but there was no way I was going to be able to manoeuvre it up or down stairs or in or out of a cab.

I ended up traveling with something under 30kg. In recent times the heaviest bag I had was a hair under 20kg and it had 4l of maple syrup in it.
