Recently NGO-DTW BE was oversold, at checkin the agent and redcoat offered me 100,000 miles - I said no before they got into the cash equivalent & other info (I assume at the standard 1cpm this would have been $1,000).

I might have come across as insulted by the offer (I wasn't), when I got to my seat the redcoat had left a little origami flower and note thanking me for my consideration. That put a smile on my face.... sadly followed up by 2 UD FAs who put on an 11hr clinic of indifference.
