I followed the procedure as outlined on Hilton's site and submitted the online form. About 23 hours later, give or take a few minutes, I heard back from Hilton, granted they have up to 24 hours to respond. My claim was denied because Hilton could not find the rate indicated on Travelocity's 23 hours previously. It doesn't matter whether you have a screen shot of the site with day and time noted, Hilton will not honor it.
I don't know about SPG, but
Marriot doesn't allow screen shots either, and although they usually respond in much less than 24 hours,
Marriott also sometimes take 23 hours.
Meanwhile, I don't know if this was your issue, but
there are some sites that recently have started putting up lower rates only outside business hours. So with 24-hour periods for BRGs to get approved, with those sites you have to book and submit the claim between Friday evening and early Sunday morning, for it to still be "outside business hours" 24 hours later. And this affect Marriott LNF just as much as other 24-hour BRG programs, btw.
Try to submit BRGs for those sites on a weekday (or later than early morning on a Sunday) and you're extremely likely to get denied, because the rate is guaranteed to go away the next business morning on those sites.
