My impression, from recently being at the resort (we left on May 27th) was that Susan was doing a great job and was well liked by both the other managers at the resort and the staff. We certainly found her to be responsive, visible and very charming.

Her firing will probably result in a destabilization of service for a few months. It takes time to build a relationship with other managers and staff and this will take even more time for someone new if everyone liked her and her departure was a surprise.

If I was planning to go to Amano'i in the next 2-3 months, I would seriously reconsider until they are able to get a new, permanent, GM in there and this person has had the time to figure everything out.
