In my opinion, overly pressed suits tend to make you look like you're trying too hard. My suits are dry-cleaned probably two/three times a year, at most, and are steamed if they need it in between (I circulate quite a few suits). I don't see why you would need to have your trousers ironed after wearing them for one day, you should almost get a week out of them unless they are of the very thin wool variety.
I hang my suits up on solid wooden hangars, drape that clear film around them, then put them in my Tumi garment bag carefully, and hang them up when I get to the hotel. Any wrinkles that shouldn't be in there fall out in the steamy shower, without affecting the trouser pleat.
On trips of less than three days I rarely take two suits (I try to avoid suits at dinner). A week or more I will take two, but mine tend to be of the handmade variety, with slightly thinker wool that looks fine after a week of wearing.
A final tip. If you think your suits smells (of dinner, or something else) hang it on a moderately warm heater (not hot, not damp). By morning it will be back to itself.
