Happened at the Helix in DC. I just wrote the assistant front manager. I am sure it will be taken care of, but I do agree with the sentiments here that it is annoying. I was on a Parking promo rate in Philly and was still charged $42 for parking as well (even though it was included). I had to write a few times to get that resolved as well. These
little things definitely leave a sour taste after a wonderful stay.
Kimpton would be wise to stop these ancillary charges because why ruin a $300 a night stay over $5 after the fact?
After 3 days I ended up having to resort to Twitter, then 2 emails with corporate (through
[email protected]) and finally one email with the Hotel Helix to get it rectified. The assistant front manager who told me to email him with any issues was on vacation, so I understand him not responding. You'd think though, that his email could be forwarded to a co-worker at least while he is away...I mean it wasn't even his personal E-Mail address, it was
[email protected] so I know someone else should have been responding. It shouldn't take that much effort...
