Well, sitting at the MEL lounge now. Apart from the fact that it's "isolated" from everyone else's lounge, right at the bottom floor, it's... relatively empty with perhaps 2 dozen people. Then again, this is the last NZ flight (to Auckland) for the day.

I see plenty of white and red wines, well stocked beer fridge, and food selection that's actually better than what I seen in the AKL international lounge. And they left the pancake/hotcake machine for people to use even at 5pm!


P.S. I stand corrected, 30mins later and there's roughly 50 odd in here. That extra 30 or so made the lounge that much more "lively". Also means over a quarter (25%) of this last flight contains various Koru/Gold/Elite members. Then again, might also have those who have been "guested" in.

Guess when there are a few flights scheduled to leave around the same time, this will quickly become quite crowded as a few many have already pointed out.
