Looking for a CAT1-5 (to use my free night certs) Marriott room. My criteria is: Free parking, and walking distance to a bus/subway to National Mall.

I looked at the map+directions for practically all of the hotels in the DC area. The best appears to be Courtyard Alexandria Old Town/Southwest. It is 0.2miles from the second last stop on the orange metro line. Free parking.

I'm driving in from the north, and leaving to the north-east (Boston).

Can anyone do better? (I.e. better room, better bus route to National Mall?)
