Question about temp unfreezing a frozen EXP

So I've frozen my EXP to start "managing" my hard pulls. However, the last time I had to pay $10 to Experian to remove the freeze to allow the card issuer to pull my report.

I've read that you should be able to give the PIN number for temp unfreezing to the credit analyst, I tried that but it didn't work. Did I do something wrong? Is there another PIN to temp unfreeze besides the initial one that I created when I froze my EXP?
