A US or Canadian citizen might see it as a $600 fare (what they paid), others might see it closer to a $100 fare (plus fuel fines). The latter might look more of a mistake.
Yet, the end result is still the same, money goes to the airline pocket. Quoting just the lower amount only serves one purpose, propaganda.
You can find dozens and dozens of cheap fares in EU, some single digit ones. Yet somehow the airlines do cry foul if you paid less then 1/100 of the fare guy sitting next to you did!
