you may not even consider that the bulk of the fare is fuel fines. People from other countries might think fuel is a significant part of an advertised fare.

Anyways - the CTA has considered the arguments put forward by many passengers around whether they thought it was a valid fare or a mistake. And so far the CTA has found passengers ought to have known it was a mistake.
