US Air MC card annual fee was up for renewal May 30 (got letter stating I had to cancel by 5pm ET). Called and lamented that $89 AF was coming up and that I was thinking that this time I will "let the card go" after having had it for about two years (had paid the first AF). Transferred and offered a waiver of AF with retention of full bennies. Great! BTW, recently got the mailer stating card would eventually be converted to a Barclay's AA MasterCard. Hmmm.
