You've already earned two boosts on a personal Reserve card, so signing up for the personal Platinum won't do you much good. Since that is what AmEx and/or Delta told mlts0807, I'm sure you are correct. However, that is not the way the card rules read to me, not that I'm an expert. Here is the wording in the card agreement so FTers can read it for themselves.
Additional Card Member(s) are not eligible to receive miles through Miles Boost; however all Eligible Spending by the Additional Card Member(s) will count towards the Basic Card Member's spend level to reach the Miles Boost threshold. Card Members may be permitted to have more than one Options, classic, Gold, or Platinum or Delta Reserve SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express account; however, Card Members are only eligible to receive one annual Eligible Spending bonus for each type (i.e., Options, classic, Gold, Platinum or Reserve) of Delta SkyMiles Credit Card account from American Express.
The rules for the business cards are identical to this, except the word "business" is added.
