I got AF waived on my 2nd us air card (same with first one).

This time I had to press a bit harder. The agent said they can't waive AF but I said I have spent over $25k on this card and want to continue to use the card. She started reminding me of the benefits but I told her I don't plan on flying us air much b/c they are no longer in star alliance. She said let me see what I can do and came back with statement credit for the AF.

should have pressed for extra miles per dollar spent but after I won't be using this card very much as I have the arrival card.

I did get an awesome offer last year. 30k miles back for having this CC and redeeming miles for travel before march 31, 2014. We redeemed 180k for 2x ANA J award to tokyo and the rebate brought it down to 150k. US air messed up one of their flights (delayed due to mechanical reasons) and gave us 12k each back.
