Compensation for canceled Austrian flight
i was supposed to take Austrian OS72 from YYZ to VIE on may 27. the flight was canceled because of a technical fault. everyone was eventually taken to a hotel and we were told we would be automatically rebooked for the same flight the next day. eventually at the hotel we were told we should rebook. [it turned out they canceled OS71 from VIE to YYZ the next day.] i got to VIE with AC/OS via LHR the next day, arriving more than 28 hours after the originally scheduled time. this was the earliest connection the guy at the lufthansa call center could find.
the only thing we were offered was a room in a not-so-nice hotel and some not-too-generous meal vouchers there.
is there any compensation i can expect from OS?
