Depressingly my family have had bad experiences with both handcuffs and white powder at airports. My brother had a pair of handcuffs removed from his bags at Bilbao, The circumstances in which they arrived in his hand baggage remain obscure but if you mention oranges and auto-eroticism he gets very shifty!
My Dad did a fortnightly commute to Moscow for many years and moved to a flat with a window box. Desperate to add some colour to the grey vista that surrounded him he decided to cultivate some plants. Given they were struggling, he decided to pump them up with Phostrogen (a plant food delivered as a white powder). With characteristic Northern thrift, he decided not to take the whole pack but to decant a smaller portion into a transparent plastic bag which he shoved into his baggage. With hindsight the grief at Moscow was inevitable and safe to say the window box was allowed to wither and die.
