But it looks like there is a $1000 purchase or sale limit across all portals. If that's true it greatly reduces the scale. You might be able to work around with a family members account.
With the risk of having to pay so much out of pocket if this all doesn't go well, it seems like you'd be better off just buying cheap gas cans and filling them up when you fill your car up with the extra gallons using points you currently have, fill up for "free" with those and hope a better deal comes along in the next couple weeks.
