I will be happy to use the GE line there if it truly is working now? They were sitting there unplugged for months.
If that works, generally I would be happy, but the security line is atrocious. I routinely get denied using the priority line (as a AA EXP on a AA codeshare in coach.) Security takes forever because they process people too slowly. They make one person at a time step up to the belt to do their thing. That is not good enough. Most people are in transit from India or Asian countries are not used to US style security, so we get elderly people that take forever to understand what is going on and start to remove items.. etc.. I am sure they track people per hour or something like that... When out of control, I usually try to just duck into the priority line if denied.
Its like the first time I showed up at Toronto when they pre-cleared people there... I showed up an hour before the flight and they were like sorry you will never make it... I was like, I am an hour early for a flight with 32 people on it to ORD? HAHA! Never would have made it except that I walked up to Nexxus (which i didn't have) pretended that the machine was not reading my retinas.. "BONG".. try again "Bong, bong bong, bong" and gave that helpless look to an agent who then waved me to the front... magic!
Has anyone watched the video they play in the CBP line? Everyone was laughing it as the guy in the video looks ridiculous and is obviously reading cue cards. Not to put him down, the point is that every country features beautiful women, gorgeous scenery, smiling happy families... and we show grumpy face cops telling everyone how they are going to get arrested.
I beat up CBP and Etihad on twitter, email and web forms... I got a number of good, real actual responses from Etihad and the AUH airport operations people... ZERO from CBP.. imagine that...
