The snorkeling was nothing special.
that actually looks great. i'd love to stay on phi phi overnight, but the last ferry leaves there at 3pm for phuket - so i would just be in a rush that day.

if i did the speedboat tour, it's affordable and right up my alley (i love snorkeling and i should have my captain's license by the end of this year). i can save money by staying in phuket - now i'll just have to find a hotel with a good location that would be safe for me to leave my bags at while i'm on the boat.

do you mind me asking where you stayed in phuket? i'm a marriott gold and could do their 3 properties, but i also wouldn't mind staying somewhere less "corporate" if it was somewhat luxurious, in a good location and has a great breakfast.

EDIT: i'm reading your [fantastic] trip report now and noted that you stayed at the blu.
