The bonuses you get with other airlines will be lower though with just MVP you don't get the priority security lineup. United requires 50k to get to the next tier. AS only requires 40k. The bonus on Alaska is 100% and United at gold is 50k.

Flying 25k miles per year (once you hit the status that gives you)
Alaska - 37.5k miles, actual upgrades, priority checkin and a lot of flexibility
United - ~31,250 miles, unlikely upgrades and if you get an E+ seat its going to be middle

Flying 40k miles per year (once you hit the status that gives you)
Alaska - 80k miles, actual upgrades(and a lot of them), a free drink on each flight, priority checkin and a lot of flexibility
United - ~50,250 miles, unlikely upgrades and if you get an E+ seat its going to be middle
