It's an n of 1 but I had no problem buying a ticket from elong.net, another Chinese online agent, owned by expedia. Price for discounted first class on elong.net was the same as coach on expedia. Only earned 30% mileage or something because of the fare class. But my ST elite + was recognized for lounge access, fast lane security, etc. at SHA.
