Sorry this might be a little too late but I would try to buy an upgrade at the airport. $ 2,700 is just too much for Comfort. They usually offer paid upgrades around 300-400 $ during check-in at the airport (I would try IST) and you do not have to be a FF. The new award system will become effective on June 1 and if you know anyone who can let you use their TK miles it might be very advantageous since the new chart requires you to burn more miles.
