I think I will have at least the required 45k on my current itinerary (45000 platinum miles plus business class) to be able to get a business class DXB-SYD (Middle East to South Pacific on the award chart?) flight back home - availability may be an issue as has been pointed out to me as I won't have the necessary miles until 8 weeks before the date I would like to take the flight. Will have to try!

My current problem is getting through to Emeco in Cairo to issue the tickets. Have had the itinerary done by the AA RTW desk, however I have been trying for two days to get Emeco to issue them. All day yesterday they kept telling me their internet was down and could I ring back in an hour, and now the phone lines seem to be down too. Has anyone else had problems reaching them?
