If you haven't been to UAE before, it would be a shame not to use the 10 hour layover to experience just a little of the country, and decide for yourself what you make of it.

You may or may not like what you see in Dubai, but I've always taken the view that - when the opportunity is there - it's better to get out & explore new places rather than spend hours in an anonymous (albeit ultra-modern) airport.
