I have a discount code that I want to use for a booking that involves AC flights and a final connecting flight on another airline (not star alliance).
I can book the entire itinerary on AC.com, but not using the discount code, as it is only valid for AC flights.
I was thinking an option would be to book just the AC flights online, using the discount code, and then phoning AC to see if I could change the itinerary, i.e. adding on the final connecting flight (and it's return).
Does anyone have any experience doing this? Would they simply just charge me for the extra flights, or would they re-price the whole ticket?
