Hello everyone!

I'm looking for some advice on the least expensive way to do our honeymoon in Australia around Nov-Dec 2014. I was there a couple years ago and I promised the fiance I'd take her there (quite the expensive promise..)

We're pretty flexible on dates and I have about 80k Aeroplan points and she has about 30k. We're looking to travel for a about a month.

We'd like to do the following.

1) Visit Syndey/Gold Coast/Cairns (not too concerned about the inter-aussie flights since they're pretty cheap).

2) And since we're "in the area", either visit one of Fiji / Phuket / New Zealand

So my questions are:

1) Out of Fiji / Phuket / New Zealand, which additional stop on our Australia adventure would you recommend?

2) What would be a good/ inexpensive/common itinerary?

For example, I was looking to do Toronto > LAX > Fiji > Sydney > Toronto.

Pricing is about:

Toronto to LAX $400
LAX to Fiji: $600
Fiji to Sydney $350

I'm thinking I could use aeroplan points to take the one way for both of us from Sydney to Toronto on Dec 16 2014..

Tried to take advantage of the mini RTW priceline error last week but I was only able to book ONE ticket!!! It's like they updated (fixed?) the site just as I was booking my fiance's ticket (it didn't let me book 2 at once). Can't go on the honey moon myself..

That was pretty sweet, $300 to do JFK>Milan then Prague to Bangkok (And from Bangkok there were a ton of flights to Aussieland..)

Any help or insights is VERY much appreciated!
