Again, I don't belive you are in practice correct. In theory of course you are.
The highest allowance applies throughout the whole journey if on one ticket however because BA has so many baggage waiver/ extra bag perks due to possibly being OWE, it in the end does not in practice carry through.
The official BA CW baggage allowance is 3x bags at 23kgs. That is the only allowance carries through the whole ticket.
One can then take into account the waivers one can be applicable for to determine their weight limit on bags/ the actual amount of pieces on can carry.
