Agreed, it's been a while since I have travelled in the morning and the last time I was short of time so decided to pop into galleries north for a bacon roll instead but when I've travelled in the morning the breakfast was very good. So much so that I'd be happy to skip the hotel breakfast and eat there.
The black pudding has always been nice and moist when I've had it, the bacon, sausage and hash brown has always been good.
Don't want much more than that!
Of course, like many places in the UK, the breakfast is more limited if you don't like pig products (or can't have them for religious reasons).
However, I agree with HIDDY (comments in another thread), most people don't eat a full English/Scottish/Welsh/Irish (all similar but have their differences that I appreciate when I have them) breakfast every day, cereal would be more common. So it's a nice treat when you get a good traditional breakfast.
But a poor quality cooked breakfast would be better replaced by some fruit and cereals. Fortunately I've been happy with the BA offering.
I must admit though, I've not tried the scrambled eggs. I've had dodgy scrambled eggs in many places I normally avoid it unless I'm struggling to find something I'd like.
