Personally I always get mine before I leave the UK. But I live 10 minutes walk from the post office which has reasonable rates - and my bank does charge me for foreign transactions which makes paying cash abroad all the more attractive. Plus mainland Europe isn't as card friendly as the USA and the UK are, there are far more cash only places though I think Prague is pretty good for paying by card - but you will need a chip + pin type card.
