I believe that E50K lifetime status is more valuable for an infrequent flyer - so he/she would be exposed to perks like lounge access, priority check-in/boarding, additional (free) pieces of luggage/baggage. The frequent flyer would worry more about upgrades (and co-pays) then the infrequent flyer.
