Yeah, it is really sad to see their best property in Taiwan left the chain. :\

But its my go to hotel in Taipei because its only 10k points and treats its elites well.
HIX Taichung - consistent HIX quality, has sofa bed which can accommodate 3 pax, location can't be beat. Near to Taoyuan train station ( not the high speed rail ), near to shopping street Yi Zhong, connected to a mall which has duty free products. Lots of shops selling the "traditional" SUN biscuits around there.
Did you get an upgrade in HI East Taipei?
And...I was trying to input 3 persons in HIX Taichung but it says no room available. So, basically all of their rooms in HIX Taichung have sofa bed ?

Yeah, rather adding more properties but they reduced the number of properties in Taiwan (CP Kaohsiung I mean).

I have recalled that also. I remember there's a planning to build Indigo in Taiwan but haven't got any recent news about it.
