I'm getting a good "Pay Now" rate for a 3-week rental in Vegas using my new Gold Plus account (free with my Amex Plat card) and CDP for Amex Platinum. I've tried entering a lot of different PC or RQ codes and have never got the price down any more - in fact often the price goes up when I add a PC.

I'm OK with the price I have ($20/day all-in for a Ford Focus), but obviously I'd love to save more.


Side question: is it a no-brainer to spend an extra $1/day to get a Corolla? I have no need for a bigger car, and I actually had a good experience with a Ford Focus recently (bluetooth/stereo worked well with my android phone) but if there's some clear reason to get the Corolla, let me know.
