But honestly, the front desk staff here isn't nearly what it once was (and "was" for me is 2009 - mid 2013). I feel like a lot of procedure training has happened, and they've become robotic.

Also, in my dumpy city view, the wifi is not even usable. I've had to tether.

Of course, as I always say with free wifi, you get what you pay for, but it's just really annoying.
