I was somewhat annoyed earlier today when needing to make a change to a reservation for Saturday that the Diamond desk said they can't contact the hotel since it's an international property. "You'll have to call them yourself; they don't let us call the international ones."

Really?

I dropped the hotel an e-mail a moment ago and will try calling them this evening when I get home...

ETA: The hotel handled it via e-mail without a problem.
