ANA-UA codesharing is broken

Long time lurker here, but after reading this I have to chime in.

I have needed to fly from the Bay Area (SFO,SJC) to TPE 4 times in the last 6 months. SFO-NRT, NRT-TPE has been my historically preferred route to break up the flights a bit. With the addition of SJC-NRT with ANA on 787 metal, the convenience was enticing for me even if fares are a bit steeper (I'm closer to SJC). Every single time, the ANA codeshare fare was clearly shown on united.com, I moved quickly to book it, only to find that it cannot go thru. With a call to reservations, I get an apologetic excuse that they cannot see ANA's reservation system. Very frustrating.

After all that and seeing the jaw-dropping UA fares, 3 out of 4 of these flights were taken on EVA either SFO-TPE direct or SJC-LAX-TPE. EVA Elite class if fine... large comfortable seats, with lots of FA attention keeping me hydrated and comfortable. This will kill my MP status, but screw it. At the end of the day I'm happier and can deal with my work at hand instead of trying to navigate thru UA's mess.
