This does not apply to visas. Also, there are no extended validity requirements for passports when entering India:

- Valid visas in expired passports are still acceptable,

- Holders of visas that specifically state the city/airport of
  entry must enter India at the specified city/airport.

  foreigners wishing to visit the following:

Passengers arriving within 6 days after leaving or transiting
countries with risk of yellow fever transmission [[TIRGL/YFIN]]
and not holding a yellow fever vaccination certificate are
subject to quarantine for 6 days. Quarantine facilities are
only available at Delhi (DEL), Chennai (MAA) and Mumbai (BOM).
At other airports passengers will be deported.

Exempt from Yellow Fever vaccination:
- Children under 9 months of age. 
- Passengers transiting countries with risk of yellow fever
  transmission provided not leaving the transit areas.
Recommended:
- Malaria prophylaxis. Malaria risk exists throughout the year
  in the whole country below 2000 m. (with 40% to 50% of cases
  due to P. falciparum). There is no transmission in parts of
  the states of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and
  Sikkim. Highly chloroquine and
  sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine-resistant P. falciparum reported.
  Recommended prevention in risk areas: III or IV.
