Tks for the tip on AA protecting me if the internal flight is late, I wasn't aware of that (I assume it's more of a courtesy than an obligation).

7:15 and 8:15 are the daytime flights.

It is a published rule, so it's really semantics whether that guaranteed promise is a courtesy or an obligation.
