Kalboz, you are right about locations. I don't usually stay at any of the Marriotts in lower Sukhumvit. I usually stay at a serviced apartment on soi 8. It's 1.5 minutes to Nana BTS. I also like the apartments at Terminal 21 and the newish Sofitel on Sukhumvit near soi 15.
