Last year I did very well, with many upgrades occurring at the window:
GSO-ATL-SLC (July 4th) and ATL-GSO
CLT-LGA-CMH and CMH-LGA-CLT
CLT-ATL and ATL-CLT (multiple)


Not holding my breath that my batting average will improve. F on the 753 redeye SEA-ATL on Friday, July 4th, is more than half-full already.
Ouch - I've been 0 for 4 for CLT-LGA flights... but then, it's my fault for taking the first flight on Monday morning
