I remember that but couldn't find it in a search. Thanks for finding it. The question I've got is - if it no longer participates in the Marriott Rewards program - why is it bookable on the Marriott website?

I've edited the exec lounge sticky to reflect that the property no longer participates in the Marriott Rewards program & created a wiki for this thread.
I talked to the Platinum line. The agent didn't know about this, put me on hold, came back & said they were calling the property directly, and then I was put through to what sounded like a supervisor at Marriott Rewards who said that I must have been accidentally transferred to her, but that they checked w/ the property & there's some type of arrangement for them to be under the Marriott banner but they don't have to offer points and that at some point in the future that may change. I told her that up until 2 months ago the property did offer points/lounge access & that not offering them is the change! She wasn't aware of that. She said she'd have to call the property again.
So then I asked her (in my case hypothetically), if I made a reservation before they departed the rewards program, would they honor the elite bennies? She instantly replied yes. I said did you ask the property that specifically ? She said no, but 'it's the rules'. So if someone booked a paid or award reservation before the property 'consciously uncoupled' (sorry couldn't resist!

) from Marriott Rewards, I'd recommend contacting Marriott & getting them to note the reservation.
Any reservations made after the change, I'd recommend changing your reservation if points are important to you.
Cheers.
