Sorry if this has been asked before but I tried to search around (here and on Google) about it without any definitive answers.

I was an AA member earning miles/segments on AA and US Airways flights up until recently, when I finally signed up for US Airway's credit card, which officially gave me a Dividend Miles #. Going forward, can I still opt to earn status purely with AA still to try and make status?

If so, how do I "prevent" my US Airway miles from hitting the Dividend acct and going to my AA account instead?
