If you booked w/ CREDIT...residual travel funds...left over money...ect you can still cancel but the ticket will inherit the EARLIEST expiration date.
IF you wait until after 24 hours you CAN STILL cancel, if you booked a fully refundable fare using a form of payment that is eligible for a refund (ie you booked using your CC or residual travel funds that were also refundable) you can get a refund as long as you cancel wthin 10 minutes of the flight departing.
If you booked a nonrefundable fare, you still have up to 10 minutes until the flight departs to cancel; however the funds will remain nonrefundable and must be used to COMPLETE TRAVEL by the expiration date (the date that you first paid SWA--if you book a ticket today the funds will expire a year from today).
(residual travel funds must be used by the ticketed passenger; not purchaser, not uncle 3X removed who is traveling cross country to live with your dog sitter but the Ticketed Passenger).
Hope this helps!
