This is all very helpful, so thanks! The aperture explanation is also appreciated. The purchase does include a 4/3 mount, so I'm OK there. I'm trying to drink all of this in:
  • Manual focus, but no need to focus subjects > 30cm away.
  • Might get sharp pictures at all apertures, but f/8 for sure. But at f/8, I might shake camera, I might need more light, etc.
And about this:
use Priority mode to allow cameras metering to adjust for (manually-set) aperture
Should I set the body for aperture priority mode in all cases when using this lens?
electronic pins only convey lens brand and other identifier.
Is this useful information? For the camera or for me?
